3rd Annual River Trip Weekend

Wow, time is flying by really fast...
Meg and I are heading down to C.S. tomorrow morning with Jake to meet up with everyone. Saturday morning we all are heading down to New Braunfels to float the river and drink a lot of beer, gonna be a sweet weekend! Just hope I don't get to sunburned, or in trouble. There is about 13 or 14 of us going so it should be a great time with some close friends.
In other news, meg and I have been watchin ROCKSTAR:SuperNova religiously and I knew that I had seen one of the competing singers somewhere before, and I found out where. Ryan Star otherwise known as R.Star otherwise known as Ryan Stahr former lead singer of the great rock band STAGE. I met him in Dallas at an Eve 6 show that they opened up for at Trees in Deep Ellum. I talked to him after the show because no one was by him at the time, I bought their CD and he signed it for me. Pretty cool how small this world really is, and how people you met and never think twice about seeing again wind up somewhere somehow and you see them again. Anyways, I will report back on Sunday or Monday about the weekend, everyone be safe! PEACE OUT!

Damn it's HOT outside

Been working outside all morning, and let me tell ya that Texas Heat can get to you pretty quick.
Got the ole hair cut this morning, then went on a little ride on the Harley, it was fun until it got hot ...so I had to put her up for the day. I think I finally got the house looking kinda sweet outside, the gutters hadnt been cleaned out in God knows when so I have been doing that and sweating my ass off..fun times..
Getting ready for the annual river trip down the cold ass Guadalupe River, that is always a good time, if you can remember any of it. I think this year we are going to take a waterproof CD player so we can jam all the way down! That is gonna be cool! or should I say COLD! I am so ready for football season, the aggies and the broncos....gonna be a sweet season, I hope. Well, my random ass rambling is done for now, peace out and stay cool!

Good Times Marquis Daniels

Well it looks like my favorite player on the Dallas Mavericks is getting traded yet again...First is was a few years ago with Nick Van Exel, now it is with my boy Marquis. The Mavs are trading him to the Pacers for Austin Croshere. I wish Marquis the best, he would be a starter on any team in the league besides the Mavs, because the Mavs have some much talent at his position. He keep the Mavs in game 6 of the finals during the 3rd quarter. He will be missed but I hope he does well with his new team. The Story

On other news, we are heading down to the Ole River on July 28-30 for some awesome good swell bitch ass times with the friends! You want to go? Hit me up!

Also, you want to listen to an awesome podcast? Subscribe to "In The Money Podcast" on Itunes. Phil Clay is the shit! Ha.

Well, that is about it on my mind right now...gonna go cruise around on the Harley for awhile! Sweet Ass!!!

Another Crazy Weekend

Well another crazy weekend is about to start for Megan and I. We are off to College Station this afternoon after I get off of work and pick her up from class. Then tomorrow we are headed to Austin for Jill's Wedding. Josh and I are ushers so it is going to be a blast. Gonna hit up 6th Street Friday night, and then Saturday after the wedding they are having an open bar...you know this man!
Jake, Josh, Megan, Megan, and I are staying at a fancy ass hotel also over looking the lake...man I cant wait...the drive is gonna suck though!
On another note, this is the last thing that I am going to write up about the Mavs for awhile...I will always believe in my heart that the Dallas Mavericks were the NBA Champions for 2006, enough said! Lata

Another Interesting Write-Up about the end of last nights game 6

CALL OF THE GAME

Mavericks fans will talk about this one for a long time. With Dallas trailing by one point and 26 seconds to go, Wade dribbled around a screen and clearly threw his arm out into Nowitzki's chest. Nowitzki was called for the foul, however, sending Wade to the line where he made both free throws. Had the call gone the other way, we could be talking about a Game 7. Instead, the Heat hung on for the win – and the championship.

Nice ESPN Write-Up

In this long period of hatred and sorrow, I found this write-up on www.blogmaverick.com. This sums everything up about this years NBA finals in a page or two..Peace

The Dallas Mavericks Season and the NBA

I haven't created a blog in over a year or two, but I got a lot of stuff stuffed in my head that needs to come out. So...I am going to try to cut it out and write it all down on this shit.
The stress of the NBA Finals could kill a person..Even someone my age! It sucks to see how quickly a series can change based on some biased calls by officials. I don't doubt that some of the fouls that were called throughout this Finals series were correct, but making incorrect calls at the end of very close games is not warranted or smiled upon. I mean come on two teams fought all season long to get here and you (the Official) are going to decide who wins and who looses? HMMM..No! It should be the players, not the officials. This is one if not the most one sided officiating groups I have ever seen. And yes I know that the MAVS could have made a few more shots and drove to the basket like "FAKE ASS HURTING WADE" but it shouldn't come down to that...So for a couple of months I am going to put away my NBA jerseys, hats, and other items in a protest against the "rigged" NBA. Yes I said rigged, the NBA cant fine me because I don't exist to them, I don't have enough money to warrant a fine, I am just a person who goes to games, buys merchandise, watches games on TV, buys things that are commercialized by the NBA and its associates! Just a little ole person who supports this great sport, but something needs to be done. Who is with me?
By the way...My boy Marquis Daniels had an awesome game, its a shame that it didn't end on a good note...The MAVS will be back, you can count on that David Steirn, don't worry one of these days in the near future you will give Mark Cuban the NBA Trophy and you will have to smile when you give it to him...That is going to be so funny!...I'm out for now! I need some advil or something...
